After our recent trip to Spain, we were able to take some extra time to drive through the South of France and up to Switzerland!! It was a fantastic vacation for us, Adam loved driving in France again… always an adventure! Here are some photos from our trip….

Adam climbed up into a Roman bridge below… he was wishing he had brought his climbing gear!

In the beautiful Riviera hillside town, St. Paul de Vence, Adam and I spent hours at a cafe watching the men below play petanque (a French game). We watched the game for hours, and Adam even got to go into the exclusive Boules Club to take photos! He has always loved the game, so to spend an afternoon drinking Pastis and watching Boules was a perfect vacation day!

The man in the photo above was a French National Champion, and you could tell… he was so serious, and he never missed his mark!

I loved watching the women play, the one below really held her own against all the men, she had a finesse that they couldn’t master :).

We went to the famous Boules Blu to buy Adam his own set of boules, it was great because we got to go in the back to see how they were made…

Adam had a special “fitting” for his new boules :)… now we just have to make a court in our backyard!

After France, we headed to Switzerland to visit two of our best friends, Michelle and Claude! We had an amazing time, and didn’t want to leave :).

We had a great day up in the Alps, it was so beautiful!!! In the photo below Michelle is pointing to where we are…

This is the view from our room at Michelle and Claude’s house… amazing!

On our drive back to Barcelona to fly home we stayed at the base of the Pyrenees in France for one last night. The view from our hotel room below was fantastic!!!

à bientôt!!!

Adam and I’ve been having a great time with family at our house lately. Adam’s Grandmother from Alabama came to visit for the first time last month. It was so wonderful to have her here and to share Seattle and the Northwest with her.

We took the ferry over to Bainbridge Island to visit the Bloedel Reserve. Adam and I had heard about the 150 acre Reserve, but had never been there. It was amazing and we will definitely return…

We were lucky because Adam’s Mom also came to visit at the same time from Colorado, it was really great to spend so much time together. (Thanks to my Mom for the photo below :) )

After Adam’s Mom and Grandmother left we had my side of the family over for a big dinner at our house. My cousins, Azure and Mike cooked an amazing 6 course meal for us… and we drank wine made by Adam’s Uncle Howard, how fantastic!

My Aunt JoAnne brought all the old family photo albums, as well as over 30 years of my Grandma’s Christmas letters that we read and reminisced over.

Such great food!!!

My cousin Matt is amazing at the Rubik’s Cube… he finished the one below in a minute and a half!

One of the best things that my Aunt brought to our house was the telegraph (below) that my Grandpa sent to my Great Grandparents to tell them my Dad had been born… so cool.

Thanks to all of our family for spending time with us, we love you!

I had to share some photos from a recent portrait session, Natalie and Colton were fantastic! It was a pleasure to photograph such loving and adorable children… Even her cry was adorable… I loved that they owned the baby scale (below), it was simply perfect! :)
