Last Saturday’s weather turned out to be gorgeous… thank goodness! We’d been crossing our fingers all week because the forecast was for rain, but Melissa and Andy had planned an outdoor wedding (don’t you love it when the weather man is so wrong!)

What a beautiful bride…

I loved the way Andy looked at Melissa when he saw her for the first time (below), he told Adam right before hand that he “was SO excited to see her” :). Love it!

The bridesmaids wore beautiful blue dresses, we loved photographing them all day :).

Their ceremony was during sunset, with the Space Needle as a backdrop… so pretty!

Melissa and Andy had delicious Trophy Cupcakes as their wedding cake… they were so good we took my parents out the next day to have some!

Congratulations to you both, hope you have a great honeymoon!

Courtney and Scott were married last Saturday at the Governor’s Mansion in Olympia, Washington… Courtney’s Mom is our state Governor, Chris Gregoire! The wedding was beautiful, and was actually the first ever held at the 100 year old Mansion. It was fantastic to be there to capture it all!!

I loved all the special touches that Courtney and Scott incorporated into their day… a piece of her Mom’s wedding dress surrounded the base of Courtney’s bouquet (below), and her Grandmother’s ring was sewn onto her garter. Even the beautiful lovebird cake topper was hand carved by Scott’s Dad! So sweet!

Courtney wore the most beautiful veil (above), the mantilla style perfectly framed her face. Scott looked classic in his tux and bow tie (below)… it was great to watch him with the kids!

Courtney’s jewelry was designed for her by Brandy of Abaloria, the bridesmaids also wore Abaloria jewelry (given to them by Courtney). It was so pretty, great job Brandy :).

There was no one else in the room when Courtney and Scott saw each other for the first time (below), it was such a beautiful moment!!! I didn’t even want to breathe :)…

There were a few times we had to run in from the rain (above) it was truly a Washington day with heavy rainfall off and on… but it sure didn’t dampen anyone’s spirit!!!

At the start of the ceremony there was a bit of rain falling as the kids walked down the aisle… but right before Courtney’s turn, her Dad held out his hand to test for rain and gave the thumbs up as the sun began to show through the clouds (below)… it was an amazing moment!

The speeches were great, both hilarious and touching. I loved the moment below when Courtney’s sister, Michelle, started to cry during her speech and her Mom instantly reached over to comfort her… absolutely beautiful.

The band, Type A! , had everyone dancing late into the night, it was such an amazing wedding no one wanted it to end!

Congratulations to Courtney and Scott!!! For more photos check out What Junebug Loves!

Fun Photo Of Us!

August 14th, 2008

Thanks to Steve Fuhs who took the photo of us above! It was taken as Courtney and Scott exited their wedding ceremony, I love the way it shows how both Adam and I are often capturing completely different moments at the same time throughout the day (the photos below show what we were each shooting [...]

Congratulations to Alisia and Andrew!!! We were lucky to photograph their gorgeous wedding this past Saturday; it was a great day with a wonderful couple…

Alisia and Andrew love wine, and so do their families…. so it was really special that the father of the groom provided the wine for the evening from his own personal collection. Many of the wines dated to the couple’s birth year, 1983!

Alisia and her sister, Kaitlyn (below), were so great… I loved the way they had fun together.

I love the moment Adam caught below of Andrew practicing his dance with his Grandmother before the ceremony…

One of my favorite moments at every wedding is right before the bride walks down the isle, it is such an exciting moment and I always think back to how I felt right before I saw Adam for the first time on our wedding day! Alisia was so calm as she helped her Dad get ready to walk outside below.

They were married at Alisia’s parent’s house on Camano Island overlooking the Puget Sound. It was a spectacular setting, made even better by perfect weather!

This cake really took us back to our wedding, it was a traditional French Croque en Bouche! YUM!

One of the things I remember most from the night was watching Alisia and Andrew enjoy the moment with each other during the speeches.

Then it came time for Andrew’s speech (which was one of my favorite groom’s speeches ever!) You could see the love and pride in Alisia’s eyes below as she watched him.

and my absolute favorite part was his last line, below…

At the end of the night Alisia and Andrew were sent off with sparklers…
thanks to you both and to each of your families for a great night!
